Guide
Editors
Since M56 the language server answers everything an editor asks on a keystroke: diagnostics, hover, formatting, outline, go-to-definition, completion, signature help, references, rename and quick fixes.
# VS Code: the extension from editors/vscode (or a release's vscode-extension artifact)
cd editors/vscode && pnpm install && pnpm package
code --install-extension polytone.vsix
# Neovim 0.10+, Helix, Zed, any LSP client: start the server over stdio
polytone-lsp --stdioA teaching error that names exactly one canonical form is offered as a quick fix — else if becomes elif, x += 1 is written out, len(xs) becomes xs.len(), a misspelt library function gets its real spelling. Completion follows the IDE's rules from the same language surface; the outline and go-to-definition read the lexer's tokens, so they keep working while a body is half-typed. Rename covers locals, parameters and top-level names across the files that import them, and refuses fields and methods rather than guess at their receivers. Setup for each editor is in lsp/README.md.
